Unfiltered stories and conversations about what changes in us over a life, what stays, and how we carry both.

With people still in the middle of something, and some a little further down the road. Hosted by Scott Bain, who spent 23 years as a firefighter and paramedic and is still in the middle of his own.

About Scott – scottbain.me

I spent 23 years as an urban firefighter and paramedic.

Now I travel the world asking people about their lives: what they’ve learned, experienced, made sense of, and are still trying to figure out.
The Caravan of Souls The show

A caravan brings together travelers with different histories, beliefs, and destinations. For a while, they travel together. The Caravan of Souls is about what each of us carries along the way: what shapes us, what we lose, what stays. We explore it through a podcast, a YouTube show, and a newsletter.

Field notes, solo episodes and conversations, recorded in a studio in Ubud and on the road.

Different lives.
The same questions.

Every life changes over time. Some of it by choice, some by chance, most of it somewhere in between. And some things stay with us through all of it.

The show sits with people inside those stories: what shaped them, what they left behind, what they still carry, and what they’re still in the middle of. Solo episodes dig into the questions underneath. Field notes come from the road.

The show isn’t about fixing anyone or making another five-year plan. It’s about noticing what’s changing, questioning what we’ve assumed to be true, and staying with a question long enough to see what it’s asking.

If your life has changed in ways you’re
still making sense of, I’d be curious to
hear your story.

I read every one. Some become conversations on the show — especially if you’re still in the middle of it.
